Siwan's Population 2011 data

An official Census 2011 detail of Siwan, a district of Bihar has been released by Directorate of Census(population) Operations in Bihar. Enumeration of key persons was also done by census officials in Siwan District of Bihar.
In 2011, Siwan had population of 3,330,464 of which male and female were 1,675,090 and 1,655,374 respectively. In 2001 census, Siwan had a population of 2,714,349 of which males were 1,336,283 and remaining 1,378,066 were females. Siwan District population constituted 3.20 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Siwan District was at 3.27 percent of Maharashtra population.
There was change of 22.70 percent in the population compared to population as per 2001. In the previous census of India 2001, Siwan District recorded increase of 24.78 percent to its population compared to 1991.

Siwan District Density 2011
The initial provisional data released by census India 2011, shows that density of Siwan district for 2011 is 1,501 people per sq. km. In 2001, Siwan district density was at 1,223 people per sq. km. Siwan district administers 2,219 square kilometers of areas.
Siwan Literacy Rate 2011
Average literacy rate of Siwan in 2011 were 69.45 compared to 51.65 of 2001. If things are looked out at gender wise, male and female literacy were 80.23 and 58.66 respectively. For 2001 census, same figures stood at 67.26 and 36.88 in Siwan District. Total literate in Siwan District were 1,930,175 of which male and female were 1,115,906 and 814,269 respectively. In 2001, Siwan District had 1,118,027 in its district.
Siwan Sex Ratio 2011
With regards to Sex Ratio in Siwan, it stood at 988 per 1000 male compared to 2001 census figure of 1031. What is the population of Siwan in 2015? The fact is, last census for Siwan district was done only in 2011 and next such census would only be in 2021. There is no actual figure for population of Siwan district situated in Bihar. As per 2011, Siwan population is 3,330,464

Out of the total Siwan population for 2011 census, 5.49 percent lives in urban regions of district. In total 182,913 people lives in urban areas of which males are 95,405 and females are 87,508. Sex Ratio in urban region of Siwan district is 917 as per 2011 census data. Similarly child sex ratio in Siwan district was 904 in 2011 census.
